I love to do Halloween crafts and I just happen to have a fantastic friend/mentor/partner in crime. Karen is a master crafter and creator. I have yet to see a craft or idea that she can’t excel at. These darling and witchy fun shoes are no exception by any means. She saw a photo, she tweaked the design and she conquered! All the while taking a few of us with her on the ride.
At a recent “ladies craft day” at Karen’s farm, a few of us attempted to make these lovely witch shoes that are all the rage this year. It was a blast! I actually had to do mine over two visits, but it was so worth it.
I went with a black bat and cat theme (yes, it’s an addiction for me – see HERE!) It just so happened that I picked up the darling little black cat ring at a faire the week before we started these shoes. After I removed him from the actual ring, he made the perfect little “buckle” for my shoe – to go with the lovely black bats of course. He really is cuter than the terrible photos I took.
Here is Karen’s awesome shoe. She is so freakishly talented! I love, love, love the spiders and spiderweb.
While I was remiss yet again in doing a step-by-step tutorial THIS TIME, I will be putting one together soon for these witchy fun shoes. If you don’t want to wait for my theatrical masterpiece, there are lots of instructionals and photos to be found on Pinterest.
